"Music is the unconscious joy that the soul experiences on counting without realizing that it is counting." - Leibniz
See my comments on MP3.com's Beam-It and the RIAA lawsuit. I support the Music Owners' Listening Rights Act of 2000.
Music is an obsession here at the Szarka household. Every surface in my living room that isn't covered with junk mail and magazines is devoted to my massive record collection and piles of tapes and CDs (I've started cataloging them at rateyourmusic.com). A glance at my credit card balance might lead one to suspect that I've overindulged, but, as some German philosopher once said, "Life without music would be a mistake." When I find time, I actually use all that music at dances and at WCNI, the coolest radio station in the world! Listen online!. Also check out my nifty station at live365.com: Swing Lover's Lounge.
For your amusement, I've prepared a big list of music I like. I really wish you would take a listen to Bill Mallonee & Vigilantes of Love (also an archive). But, if I had to throw away all that other music, VOL might just be enough to keep me sane.
To see what I'm listening to right now, or was in the recent past, see my audioscrobbler profile.

Also, check out this great Thelonius Monk pin by William Spear Design.
My old music reviews can be found in Sea of Noise Journal.
I spit on the memory of Sonny Bono.
